The FNESC First Nations Languages Subcommittee is focused on the issue of Aboriginal language revitalization in British Columbia. The subcommittee consists of representatives from organizations throughout BC which include post- secondary institutes, Bands, Tribal Councils, K-12 schools and cultural organizations. The subcommittee works on initiatives which will encourage and enhance educational opportunities regarding the many BC Aboriginal languages.
- Established in 1992, the First Nations Education Steering Committee is an independent society led by a strong and diverse board of 105 First Nations community representatives.
