Further to our October 1st notice regarding updated public health guidance for K-12 schools, FNESC and FNSA are providing a revised version of our First Nations Schools Reopening Considerations and Template (Revised January 14, 2022) This resource has been updated in alignment with new guidance on the use of masks for students from Kindergarten to Grade 3.
The BCCDC has also developed two new resources describing the steps taken by public health if someone who attends school tests positive for COVID-19. These resources are provided for reference to inform planning at the local level.
FNESC and FNSA fully respect the authority of individual First Nations to make decisions about school operations in the best interests of their students, schools, and communities.
