At the workshop, respected language educator Dr. Kathryn Michel will report on the latest revisions of the First Nations Language Essentials (FNLE) project, updates from the First Nations schools who are piloting the FNLE curriculum, and participants will take part in the curriculum demonstrations. The goal of the current project is to prepare educators to teach First Nations languages so that students can participate in basic communications through the Total Physical Response method and with TPR Storytelling.

Who can attend?
It is recommended that teachers of First Nations languages attend.
Participants must be educators at BC First Nations schools (TEFA and non-TEFA). Maximum 37 per session.
Travel is reimbursable for up to two representatives per BC First Nations community (Band) that has a First Nations school to attend their nearest session.
Representatives of both TEFA and non-TEFA schools are reimbursable.
