It is never too early – and never too late – to begin thinking carefully about where our children want to go in terms of their career paths and the education they need to get there.

At this workshop, parents will learn about the following:

  • How to connect with the school
  • Making wise course choices in secondary school
  • Dogwood graduation requirements
  • Planning the graduation year
  • Choosing a post-secondary institute and program
  • Exploring career and education options
  • Funding options for post-secondary

Parents will also receive a copy of the recently-updated Career Journeys Guide for Parents and Students, which was developed by the First Nations Education Steering Committee and First Nations Schools Association.  This handbook provides tools and information to help teens plan for secondary and post-secondary education so that they are ready to pursue their career goals.
